Company History
The business was started in 1993 during the last recession with 5 engineers in an office running from home. We have had our own offices now for 15 years and the growth in the engineering workforce has come from running regular apprenticeship schemes. We currently have three apprentices, who are due to qualify in the next few months. This provides us with electricians who have their skills developed to the standards we expect and enables the continued growth and development of the business workforce.
SCS are a family run company who this year are celebrating the success and retirement of its current Managing Director and Financial Director Martyn and Gill Pinnell.
With the second generation taking over this year, Tom, Andy and Rachel are excited to bring fresh new ideas to grow SCS, whilst continuing to spread the companies mission of delivering quality installations.
With over 35 years of experience between them working for SCS, Tom, Andy and Rachel know they can continue to expand the reputable company their parents have built over the past 23 years.
The business has grown organically over the last 20 years and has concentrated in working directly for customers, operating business critical electrical and data systems. SCS continues to invest heavily in staff training to provide the best engineers to our clients to achieve fast and qualitative outcomes to their needs. Most of the clients are long standing, repeat customers who trust SCS to deliver.
